Using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) to characterize the volatile organic compounds in coyote urine across variables including age, sex, and season.

Using histological stains and immunohistochemical experiments as well as receptor autoradiography to characterize the structure and organization of the coyote olfactory bulb.

Using behavioral experiments with captive coyotes to investigate olfactory discrimination and scent-marking behavior in response to coyote urine as a social cue.
